It’s been one of those days. My body is moving slow. My computer is moving even slower. C’mon, little buddy, work with me here.
Back to my slowness. Here’s the story. I went to “Pure Muscle” at the gym yesterday. That’s right. Picture me in the front row of “Pure Muscle.” I had my step, my weights, and I was rearing to go. Walking lunges at 6 AM, sure!

It all sounded so good at the time. Lunges and squats, crunches and planks, curls and dips, presses and flies – yikes! Now I’m hurting all over. It’s for the best, though. I really want to build up my strength. I know how important it is to my overall health. I hope to get used to strength training while my runs are easier. Then I should be able to keep it up through the next training cycle. Hold me to it
Along with my sore muscles, I woke up to a case of the common cold. Stuffy nose, foggy head, scratching throat – no fun. I woke up tired! I hate when that happens.
I reached deep into my arsenal to find every germ-fighting remedy available. The schools are full of germs these days and I don’t want to let them get the best of me. Tea, Mucinex, and plenty of REST. I hope to feel good as new in no time. I need to be in tip top shape for the weekend. I’m going to a fancy-shmancy wedding, a Halloween shindig, and cheering for a fellow marathoner. I don’t want a few sniffles to stop me!
What’s your best cold remedy? I’m thinking ice cream and my bed should work for tonight
