Musings From The Shore

Good morning, lovelies!  I just got back from a fabulous run.  Lots of random thoughts swirl through my head as I run.  I think about everything and nothing all at once.  Here’s a glimpse into my world:

Avoid blow dryers, straighteners, makeupeven brushes! Let natural beauty shine at the beach.  Liberating!

Read lots. Books really are better at the beach!  I’m currently reading What I Talk About When I Talk About Running by Haruki Murakami.  His thoughts are interesting and his writing style is easy and enjoyable.  I’d recommend this to runners and non-runners alike.

Seagulls are ruthless and relentless. They will eat your lunch when you walk away!  Thankfully, this was not our blanket.

Running in a new place is especially fun! It’s my favorite way to explore and it can definitely add dimension to a training regimen.

Total Distance: 4.0 miles

  • Mile 1 – 9:04/mi
  • Mile 2 – 8:34/mi
  • Mile 3 – 8:29/mi
  • Mile 4 – 8:02/mi <– That’s what I’m talkin’ about!  What’s up, mile four?! My cousin pushed the pace and kept up!

Total Time: 34:12

Average Pace: 8:32/mi

Oats taste better at the beach. I love eating my breakfast in the sunny, sea breeze.  We’re been enjoying the local restaurants for dinner, but I love my home cooked breakfast – sets me straight for the day ahead.

The rest of the family is rising and shining…ready for another day.   Time to pack to cooler!

Just a reminder: I am going to make reservations for the Blogger Meet ‘N Mingle today.  There are some fun ladies attending!  If you are interested, please let me know sometime today.  I can’t wait to meet all of you fabulous bloggers!
