Second Marathon Training Plan

I am currently training for my second marathon.  My first marathon taught me so much about my body, my mind, and my running.  I feel like I know so much more (although I’m no expert!) now and I am excited to be training again.

For this training cycle, I created my own training plan.  This plan includes:

  • lower mileage overall
  • 2 20-mile training runs
  • speed work
  • tempo runs
  • more cross training!

The focus: Quality over quantity.

Please note: I am not an expert.  This plan is based on my experiences and what works best for me.  If you are considering training for a marathon, consult your doctor and running experts to develop a plan that would work well for you.
